Conservation Philosophy
I believe expanding human demands on land, sea and fresh water, along with the impacts of climate change, have made the conservation and management of wild areas and wild animals a top priority. Wildlife, fisheries and environmental conservation management is the sum of activities, policies, cultural practices, and laws and rules of governments and private citizens whereby a society provides for itself the amount and kind of wildlife that meets its perceived needs. I am an advocate for education and ecosystem management to help in the conservation of diverse ranges of species and habitats. I believe and advocate for conservation education and experience with and about animals and the planet so that all stakeholders are involved, form a bond with nature and in turn, more eager to protect it. If we save our wild places, we ultimately save ourselves! I want to use my educational experience and newly found conservation knowledge to excite and educate people about wildlife and the world we live in. If you can give a person a first-hand positive experience with nature, you can convince them to love, cherish and protect it, and that is what I hope to do.
Conservation through education is key for all species and habitats to survive and thrive! |
