It is always important to continually improve and seek new knowledge and to share that knowledge with others. Keeping a growth mindset and growing others is a priority in education.

Professional Learning Communities"To be a teacher in the right sense is to be a learner. I am not a teacher, only a fellow student."
- Soren Kierkegaard As a conservationist and educator, I believe it is important to continually grow and seek to deepen your knowledge of and in the field. New research and techniques are being published every day and if we do not take as much of this in as possible, we remain stagnant in our ways. Thirty-five years from now, I want to be an educator and conservationist with thirty-five years of experience and sharing that with others, not as an educator and conservationist who has been around for thirty-five years, with one year of experience and have the philosophy of my way or the highway. After all, I am trying to help others learn - if I have forgotten how to do so myself, how will I ever succeed? There are many ways in which to acquire this new knowledge. They can range from being the student yourself to teaching others but are all equally useful and address all types of learning styles, topics and situations.
